Arreya Media Library: Supported File Types, Sizes, and Requirements

The Arreya Media Library allows you to store and manage images, videos, and audio files for use in your presentations. To ensure smooth playback and fast loading times, all media uploaded must meet certain file type and size requirements.

Supported File Types

Image Formats

Supported image types included:
Transparency supported
JPG (.jpg, .jpeg)
PNG (.png)
GIF (.gif)
BMP (.bmp)
TIFF (.tif)
EPS (.eps
Webp (.webp)

Video Formats

You can upload and schedule videos in the following formats:

MP4 (.mp4) – Recommended format for best performance
AVI (.avi)
MOV (.mov)
GIF (.gif)
MKV (.mkv)
M4V (.m4v)
WEBM (.webm)
MPEG (.mpeg or .mpg)

Document Formats
Single page view (first page of pdf shows)

PDF (.pdf)

Audio Formats
Background music or audio announcements can be added using:

MP3 (.mp3)
WAV (.wav)

Maximum File Sizes

Images: 2 GB max per file 

Videos: 2 GB MB max per file 

Audio: 2 GB max per file

Resolution and Aspect Ratios

For fullscreen content: 1920×1080 (16:9) is recommended for landscape orientation.

For fullscreen content: 1080×1920 (9:16) is recommended for portrait orientation. 

Compression and Encoding Recommendations

Images: Optimize JPGs for photos, PNGs for graphics with transparency. Use SVGs for logos and icons. 

Videos: Encode as MP4 (H.264) 

Audio: MP3 at 128–192 kbps is sufficient for most signage use.

 Uploading Tips

Use clear, descriptive file names for easier organization.

Keep file sizes as small as possible without sacrificing quality to speed up loading.

Store media in relevant folders within the Media Library for quick access. 

Troubleshooting Uploads

Upload failed? Check that the file type is supported and under the max file size.

Video won’t play? Confirm you’re using H.264 encoding and AAC audio.

Image looks blurry? Use higher resolution and correct aspect ratio for the display zone.
