How To: Deploy Arreya on LG Smart TVs with WebOS

Step-by-Step Guide to Turning Your LG TV into Digital Signage

Select the Right LG TV Model

Choosing the appropriate LG TV is the foundation of an effective digital signage setup. Consider the following factors:

  • Screen Size: Ensure the screen size is suitable for your viewing distance and space.
  • Resolution: Higher resolutions like 4K provide sharper and more detailed visuals.
  • Smart Features: Opt for models with robust smart features and app support for easier content management.

Set Up the Hardware

Proper hardware setup is essential for optimal performance and longevity.

  • Mounting: Secure your LG TV using a reliable wall mount to ensure stability and the best viewing angles.
  • Power Supply: Use a stable power source, preferably with surge protection, to safeguard your equipment.
  • Network Connectivity: Connect your TV to the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi for seamless content updates and remote management.

Install Arreya on your LG TV

To manage and display your content effectively, you’ll need Arreya. :

  • LG’s webOS Platform: Utilize LG’s native platform to access Arreya directly from the TV.

    Installation Steps:

    1. Open EZ Settings
    2. Select "Play Via URL"
    3. Set the URL to api.arreya.com/device/register
    4. Save and select "Reboot to Apply"
    5. The LG TV will now display an Arreya pairing code.

Pair your LG TV to your Arreya account

  1. Take note of the 4 digit pairing code on the LG TV
  2. Sign into your Arreya account
  3. Navigate to the devices page
  4. Click "+Add Device"
  5. Enter the 4 digit pairing code and name the device

Your LG TV is now paired to your Arreya account, and you are ready to schedule and publish your content.
